No, thank you!

Do you see what's wrong with the flyer above?

I found this on the windshield of my car a week ago, advertising for tutoring service. However, after I had read through the flyer, if I had a child who needs a tutor, I would not use his service.

The error is on the 2nd paragraph....."weather or not your child is.......Big mistake there for a certified english teacher.

The morale: Be sure to spell check your document before distributing to the public.

I know, people here always confused between "weather" and "whether"... I think most of them don't really care about their spell check.

My english is not very good but I realized that it was worse in Florida. People also confused between "your" and "you're". There is a restaurant here who misspelled the word "sandwiches" with "sandwishes", maybe like CatCat said people just don't really care.

cat - but they should. It's embarassing.

wuching - thanks...hehe.

ann - It's embarassing since this is an english speaking country.

yatie - it is sad isn't it for people like us where english is a second language to us, to catch mistakes like this.

june - no way, Jose...hehe.

Hi, came here from Yatie's. :)

Besides the 'weather' tht guy also said, " in the privacy of 'you' own home". How lah like tht? And he proudly proclaim tht he's a 'certified' eng teacher? Scary. I hope he's not really a teacher. I feel sorry for the kids that he's 'teaching'.
